Depends which dish you get. Everyone’s heat tolerance is different. If you find it too hot, have some plain yoghurt on the side or a glass of milk ready.
The hottest dishes on SADYA’s menu would be the Appa’s Chilli Chicken/Beef (chilli spice), Fish Mango Curry (chilli spice) and maybe Beef Roast (pepper spice).
I’m not a restaurant. I’m a takeaway business that’s home-based in Tokai, Cape Town. I only do sit-down for my cooking & baking classes.
Free collection is offered within 2kms of Tokai (postal codes 7966 & 7945). Free shipping up to 30kms of Cape Town for order overs R1000.
Most dishes are. However some of masalas I use in some of the dishes ‘may contain traces of gluten/peanuts’ as per the packaging. We personally do not directly add any flour/gluten to any of our curries/dishes.
To reheat from frozen: Microwave on high 5 mins, stir, reheat an addiional 5 mins or more until hot.
Guideline: If fresh/frozen 2-3/7-8 minutes in the microwave (stirring occastionally to ensure even heating). If fresh/frozen 7-10 / 20-30 minutes in the oven with a foil over it so the oven doesn’t dry out the curry.
Rice is sold separately unless you’re buying a biriyani.

As of January 2025, all meat dishes are strictly halal. However, my kitchen is not halal.
SADYA is a home run business so we cannot be strictly halal. SADYA plans convert my garage to a kitchen – then we can be strictly halal. 🙂
Single portions serve one person (all dishes are 300g except the biriyanis which are 475g). If someone has a larger appetite, then I suggest ordering two single portions.
